Bequeath the Sheath

Last week, ACC Literati - the English Majors Society - had its first-ever general assembly. As the outgoing President of the org, I still had to precide over the election of next school year's set of officers. I had no doubts about Jonah taking over and the election being more of an appointing than a voting process but I didn't actually expect to see more young and new faces joining the gen ass. Then again, I don't expect much these days and loads of story ideas pop in my head.

This week started with REPLIKA's very own general assembly, its first-ever as well since this year is its first run as an official group, with the same voting process turning into an appointing spree. Fortunately, Marx upped his game a bit and we added more committees to oil the art machine. Looks like REPLIKA's next year is going to be an entertaining run. Shame I won't be around to experience it. *winkwink*

With two more weeks, or three I don't really count that well, before this school year closes, it's going to be a nostalgic walk towards the end. Or something like that. I can't really miss people. I always keep in touch.

Pepe out!

Quick Update to Clear my Head for Writing

Yes, I know. My blog is REALLY messy. I'm a little out of free time the past few weeks so I haven't made any effort to clean it.

Been trying my hardest to become more involved with the school since it's my last year and most of my friends are at the helm so free time is understandably scarce for me now. As I've said, I've recently been elected as the President of the Literati, the ACC English Majors Society, and the faculty has been on my arse with all the school work and the contests and the meetings and the like. I'm not saying I hate it or something but it's just been overwhelming. Oh well. Nothing I can't handle anyway.

My writing hasn't been that great as well. My percentage, my rate of productivity, has been everything but decent. Fatigue from too much work can be distracting. Fortunately, I'm going to be competing for something now. The deadline's on August 30 so I'll probably keep you posted when that day comes, just to say whether I got in or not. Only 8 writers from all over the country will get a slot in the outstanding workshop so I'm really excited and stressed at the same time. I need to write my best or I'll end up beating myself for the failure.

Cheers! Good luck to me, mates!
