Mark Twain, smite them please.

One more week till my classes start and the Three Steps from Hell co-author contest by Ruta officially ends.

To tell you the truth, I have yet to start with my attempt at a decent contest entry. I still have to install Microsoft Office and Microsoft Encarta on our desktop computer. It's the one my sister and my dad use, though my dad and I both have our own laptops.

I went to the registrar's office to have my grades checked. My mom and dad have been nagging me to have my grades evaluated so I can get into another scholarship. I already have one, under dad's shipping company, but they still want me to get this one. I am pretty confident with my academic standing, even though I rarely study and review. I'm not a fan of memorizing stuff that won't really matter in the end. An old girlfriend tells me I can't unleash my true potential that way. I usually win over her using this quote:

"I never let my schooling interfere with my education."
~Mark Twain.

See? Even Mark Twain thought school is pretty boring. It's all a bunch of prerequisites for a diploma. If only we didn't need diplomas, I'd have a published author mentor me. Going through all sorts of unnecessary crap is a bit troublesome. What we want we don't always get.

That because I have to go back to school tomorrow since one of my professors hasn't submitted my grade on her class yet. Plus, I need to ask permission from the VP to take two extra Theology subjects for something I don't really understand.

After I post this entry, I'm going out to start a draft for Ruta's contest. It's practice and I need all the practice I can get if I want to be an author someday.

Damn Restaurant City for distracting me.
