While trying to string together a conversation between two of my characters in my hopeful novel project, I found myself lured by the October 2009 issue of Rogue Magazine. Ever since Miguel and Paul introduced me to the publication, I've always came back with wads of paper bills for the near months of issues (September - December). I'm still confused as to when and whether they publish issues dedicated to fiction and literature in general. I know they have an Art Issue scheduled. I've bought two.
It has been years since I first fell for the charm of Trese, a Filipino graphic novel written by Budjette Tan and drawn by Kajo Baldosimo. They use the English Language as medium for the letters and it suits their style perfectly. The supernatural has never been incorporated as creatively as in Trese. The duo blend Philippine horror with real situations in a way that makes me love this country...and the aswang kidnappers and the kapre kingpin or even the manananggal whores. Link to their official blog is before this post ends.

By the way, Yes. She also reminds me of Van Helsing. But she's a girl so she's hotter, in a straight guy's perspective of course.
